Arts-Related Student Organizations
The Center for Student Involvement's Presence directory has the most current information for over 165 student organizations on campus. Below is a sampling of student-led arts organizations.
Art Club: A community of art appreciation that enjoys First Friday gallery walks in downtown Richmond and art workshops.
Block Crew: An urban dance team founded in 2010 that based its name on the words “breaking” and “locking.”
Bollywood Jhatkas: A South Asian fusion dance club.
Choeur du Roi: The University's oldest co-ed a capella group.
Ngoma African Dance Company: For the past 25 years, this group learns and performs a variety of dances originating from different areas of West Africa.
Off The Cuff: A co-ed a cappella group that sings music of all genres, performs in concerts on and off-campus, and records music for studio albums.
Richmond Octaves: The University's oldest and only all-male a cappella group that recently released an album, Beacon, and celebrated their 30th anniversary.
Subject to Change: An improv troupe committed to bringing free, light-hearted entertainment to campus.
The Sirens: Richmond's only female a capella group.
UR Players: Founded in 1921, this theatre group produces student-designed, directed, and performed productions on campus.
